Technology has become very advanced off late. People have got addicted to their phones, laptops etc. Some people say we are so far yet so near through technology.
But I think we are so near yet so far!
This is the advent of technology. It's very sad for me to say this as I myself am a telecommunications engineer.
Two people are present in the room. No doubt. But they are just present. Nothing more than that. They are so occupied with their phone or laptops. They don't even hear what to speak because they have their headphones on!
Okay, maybe they are busy with something!
But I think we are so near yet so far!

But, sometimes you are amidst people playing something or discussing something. Now, you pull out your phone because you got a text. You must quickly reply and take care of it or excuse yourself and finish your job. That's fair enough. Instead, if you hang on to your phone, continue the conversation with that person who texted you, giggle at their jokes ignoring the people sitting in front of you is not what is expected. Be it friends or family. You should respect them!
Another aspect that I don't understand is, nowadays, girls especially, claim to have so many friends. They go on blabbering about them. They act as though their life is incomplete without them. But the truth is nobody gives a damn to these people. They are just looking for someone who can listen to them and move on. At times, even these girls want the same.
And they end up spending their precious time with their phones and laptops!
It becomes really annoying at times!

But the fact is, when I sit with people to play a pack of cards or anything, they are so occupied with their phones. This situation has not only made me annoyed, but also has put in deep thoughts.
Am I the only person on this earth!! Am I the only one who don't text...

It's not that I don't have any friends. I have friends who are ready to do anything for me!!
That's the sort of friendship I prefer!
