Crazy Kodachadri!

It is time I write this :D Before I go on another trip :D
One of the craziest trips I have ever been to.

All the credits goes to Crazy Yatra!...
If you are ever bored in life, tired of your job, just look out for events organized by Crazy Yatra
https://www.facebook.com/crazyyatra?ref=br_tf
I will guarantee that it will be unforgettable.

So, here is the proof. My experience at Crazy Kodachadri

Scene 1:
INTERNALS!
Yes, I am writing WSN (Wireless sensor networks) internals. Thinking how the next 2 days are going to be. Then, "Oh! Shit" I have to write two more answers.
Finally, the internals got over. In other words, the internals got over for just the two of us.
Yes! WE BUNKED the rest!

Scene 2:
Shopping for LEECH SCENES!
Yes, I have never been bitten by leeches. So, it is new to me. Considering the valuable suggestion of my brother, I went shopping. Searching for what we call "Nashya" in Kannada and coconut oil. Apparently, if you apply the mixture, leeches won't even come near you. So, after lot of hunting, I finally found NASHYA! :P :D

Scene 3:
Packing and waiting!
Packing was as usual. I finished packing in 10 minutes. But, I have to wait for the bus to arrive near my place. That is bad. So, I am anxiously waiting for my friend's call. Then, they arrive at my stop at around 11:30 PM "YES!!".  I was the last one to get in.

Scene 4:
Bus and Introduction!
So, I get into the bus. Then, namma Ajay (One of the organizers of Krazy Kodachadri) introduces himself and we all start introducing ourselves. There are women who are married, have children and actually look like college students. After the introduction of all the engineers (Yes, everybody in the bus were engineers), we realize that we are the youngest in the entire batch. :-D

Scene 5:
IT'S MORNING!
We reach the home stay after traveling through lush green, betel farms, houses, etc. We get down from the bus to see this... This is the entire gang of Crazy Kodachadri standing in front of our home stay! :D
After a heavy and a delicious breakfast, we start off ! YEAH!! :D

Scene 6:
Walking all the way UP!
Till we reach the hidden Hidlumane Falls! :D

We walk through fields and meadows under the blue clouds and beside the green bounds...
Don't worry, I am not going to write a poem :-P

Then it was time to quench our thirst! Buttermilk!... We see a small shop where they serve cool buttermilk. This is the actual start of the trek :D
Yes, I am already tired :-P

And then we see this... I stand there clicking this pic and start to pity the sign board... :P

As we walk further, or should I start saying climb further, we start to see traces of water and rocks. The view is very deceiving. I start to think that every little tiny waterfall as Hidlumane and start clicking pics.
Scene 7:
HIDLUMANE!
The HIDLUMANE is yet to come! Alas, we see this narrow disciplined stream of water falling from a great height. We had finally reached Hidlumane.

After a dip in the cold waters of Hidlumane, we start the toughest part of the trek!
This is the part were I decently keep all my camera equipment inside, climb using both my legs and hands. Even then, I fall. All my team mates and the organizers help me enormously. We start to hold each others hand and climb. I think this is what trekking is all about. It is about reaching the summit as a TEAM!
Climb, but make sure the person behind you is equally fine... The moral of the story!
We walk, crawl, climb, and jump! This is the state for the next few miles.
Then, we halt for a break. This break is for relaxing, filling water and more relaxing!

We start to trek again against this beautiful view of the mighty Western Ghats!

Even after trekking so much, we still cannot see the summit of the Kodachadri Hills!

Scene 8!
Lunch scenes:
And then comes my favorite part. OOTA!! LUNCH... Huh... I am totally exhausted. If it is not for the lunch, I wouldn't have taken another step. The elaborate lunch of Holige, anna saaru, sambhar, curd and pickle made us all drool.

Scene 9:
Trek Resumes:
After a small power nap, we set off again! Just like the above jump!
We walk till a place where the jeep can go. There is a nice little shrine up there.
This is where a tragedy happens... My knee!! Instead of staying in a place, my knee cap starts to move around thereby causing me more trouble :-(
Hence, I have to discontinue the trek and stay near the temple.

The below pictures are taken from the summit of Kodachadri!
Seeing the sun play hide and seek with the bed of clouds would have been a sheer bliss.

Scene 10:
The Amazing JEEP Ride!
And after all this, We come back to the home stay in a jeep. A jeep ride which I will not forget in my life.
The bumpy, hilly, ghat section jeep ride! Hats off to all the jeep drivers in Kodachadri!

Scene 11:
Tent sleep!
Unfortunately, I forget to take any pic of the tent! I know that I am very stupid!

Scene 12:
Morning, bye bye home stay and off to Shivappa Nayaka Fort!
We start our day with another amazing breakfast and head to the famous Nayaka fort!

Scene 13:
DANCE!

One of the best times of my life.
In spite of my naughty knee, we danced in the bus and on the road, as if no one saw, as if no one cared and as if music never ended.

Yes, we danced on the highway!.... :-D
